The penultimate episode of "The Flash" Season 3 showcases only 24 hours left until Iris is murdered by Savitar. Barry struggles to save the woman he loves and makes the choice to use any means necessary to do so. Realizing he has one option left to save her, The Flash turns to Captain Cold for help. The promo for "The Flash" Season 3, Episode 22 revolves around what happens in "Infantino Street."

Meanwhile, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly about the reactions of the stars after Savitar came out of his suit in "The Flash" Season 2 episode. "Watching Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes - watching all of their reactions and interactions with Savitar when he's out of the suit, it feels so fresh and exciting for us."

It's About Time For That Big Reveal In The Season 3 Episode 20

While Barry's trip to the future didn't provide him with an answer regarding Savitar's identity, it appears as though he's still managed to crack the case. Come check out the new extended promo

 It really didn't take much for Killer Frost to align herself with Savitar, so is there a chance that his true identity has ties to someone from her past rather than with someone from Barry's? It's an answer we'll have to wait another week to get, but at the moment, there does seem to be some momentum building toward Ronnie Raymond being the one in that exosuit.

In addition to the Savitar reveal, next week's episode will also introduce Tracy Brand, a scientist, who may hold the key to stopping Savitar once and for all and it sounds like Savitar will be well aware of her existence as he sends Killer Frost out to retrieve her. This proves for an awkward confrontation for Vibe as we finally get to see him duel with his former friend.

‘The Flash’: Grant Gustin Teases Barry’s Trip To The Future In Season 3, Episode 19

Barry’s (Grant Gustin) journey to the future in Season 3, episode 19 of “The Flash” is unlike any time travel he has done before.

“This is definitely his most involved trip to the future or the past because he’s there for a predominant part of the episode and tries to get some clues as to how [Iris’ (Candice Patton) murder at the hands of Savitar] went down in the future so he can come back and stop it,” Gustin told Entertainment Weekly.
“Barry starts to get some answers pretty soon,” added Gustin. “It’s going to be a challenge to stop this guy. It’s going to be a different kind of challenge than we’ve ever had.”

Earlier this month, Grey Damon and Ashley Rickards were spotted filming the episode in a trashed alley in downtown Vancouver. Also seen in the outdoor set were Gustin and Tom Cavanagh, who was directing the episode.
According to YVRShoots, the scene being filmed at the time involves Mirror Master (Damon), a.k.a. Sam Scudder, and his girlfriend Top (Ashley Rickards), a.k.a. Rosa Dillon, giving The Flash a good kicking as he lies helplessly on the ground.

Since Gustin revealed that Barry will be in the future for the most part of the episode, it’s possible that Barry’s run-in with the rogues takes place in the future.
Sam and Rosa first appeared in Season 3, episode 4, in which they used their new metahuman abilities for the first time to wreak havoc in Central City. With the use of a hologram of Snart (Wentworth Miller), Team Flash defeated the pair at the end of the episode, and Rosa was returned to her cell in Iron Heights, while Sam was locked away in a separate chamber with no reflective surfaces to prevent him from using his power to escape.

The Flash: Tom Cavanagh is set to direct an episode

The Flash star Tom Cavanagh will step behind the camera for an upcoming episode. Also, the trailer for the next ep is here...

Here's some exciting news: the fine folk at The CW have given Tom Cavanagh (who plays various versions of Harrison Wells in The Flash) a chance to direct an episode. 

The new leaked out from a PaleyFest event, and was soon confirmed on Danielle Panabaker's Instagram page...

CBR reports that Cavanagh's episode will be the 19th instalment of The Flash season 3, and that it's going by the title The Once And Future Flash. It will be a time travel story, we're told. This isn't quite Cavanagh's directorial debut, since he shot episodes of the comedy series Ed a few years back. But still, it's exciting to see one of The Flash's most-loved cast members stepping behind the camera.

Cisco (Carlos Valdes) is going to discover something big about Gypsy’s (Jessica Camacho) past in Season 3, episode 18 of “The Flash.”

As previously reported, Gypsy travels to Earth-1 to capture Earth-19 criminal Abra Kadabra (David Dastmalchian). But it seems that Gypsy has a more personal reason to make the villain pay for his crimes.

“The tricky thing in [Tuesday’s episode] is that what brings her over to our Earth and our reality is a secret from her past that Cisco spends most of the episode really grappling with her on and trying to get her to be open about,” Valdes told Entertainment Weekly. “She has trouble doing that and when she does reveal what it is, it’s not something that Cisco sees coming.”

“She’s very protective of her own emotions and her own vulnerabilities,” Valdes added of Gypsy. “But I think the magic of the chemistry between the two is that Cisco can cut right through that and see her for who she really is.”

But Cisco has to take sides between Gypsy and Barry (Grant Gustin) in the episode, as Abra Kadabra makes the Scarlet Speedster a tempting offer. Apparently, Abra Kadabra knows Savitar’s real identity and he is willing to disclose that information to Barry only if he frees him from captivity.

“He knows who Savitar is,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said of Abra Kadabra, whose arrival comes with a moral conundrum. “Do Barry and the team let Abra Kadabra go in order to get Savitar’s identity? It’s a great mortality play. Iris (Candice Patton) and Barry have a great scene, ‘Can you be a hero if you do one bad thing?’”

So will Cisco side with Gypsy and help capture Abra Kadabra? Or will Cisco let Barry take the deal with the villain from the future to ultimately prevent Iris’ death? Only time will tell.

‘The Flash’ Season 3 Spoilers: Grant Gustin, Candice Patton Tease Savitar’s Big Identity Reveal

“The Flash” Season 3 stars Grant Gustin and Candice Patton said that the upcoming reveal of Savitar’s real identity is unlike any other reveals the show has done before.

“It is a very different and jarring kind of reveal,” Gustin, who plays The Flash/Barry on the CW series, told The Hollywood Reporter. “I can't really tease much other than it’s going to be the hardest big bad to take down or even come up with a way to take down. It creates problems for us when we find out his true identity.”

Patton added  that Savitar’s big identity reveal will match, if not top, the Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh/Matt Letscher) shocker from Season 1.

“One of our best villain reveals was Reverse-Flash and we're always trying to live up to that,” said Patton, who plays Iris on the show. “And I really think that this is on par with that. Without giving away too much, fans are going to be shocked. I was shocked when I found out. I was wondering how they could do it and make it work and keep it a secret, but I think fans are going to be really surprised. You won’t see it coming.”

Executive producer Todd Helbing also pointed out that there’s a reason why they decided to reveal Savitar’s identity later in the current season. “Normally we have shown the identity of the villains a lot earlier in the season,” Helbing said. “[But] there’s a specific reason why we waited for this reveal until now.”

While Savitar’s big identity reveal has yet to take place, Helbing’s fellow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg made it clear that they know who Savitar is long before filming for Season 3 started.

“With Savitar, we know who he is under there,” Kreisberg said (via Entertainment Weekly) during the “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl” and “Legends of Tomorrow” panel at PaleyFest last weekend. “We’ve been planning this for a while and we’re really excited about it.”

This week’s Season 3, episode 18 will introduce Abra Kadabra (David Dastmalchian), a villain from Earth-19 who claims to know the real identity of Savitar. According to the synopsis for the episode, Abra Kadabra is willing to reveal Savitar’s true identity to Barry if he releases him from captivity. Desperate to save Iris, Barry considers taking the deal, but Gypsy (Jessica Camacho) travels from Earth-19 to Earth-1 to capture Abra Kadabra and make him pay for his crimes.

Will Barry let go of Abra Kadabra to get some clues to Savitar’s real identity in episode 18? Only time will tell.

‘The Flash’ EPs Tease Barry’s Ultimate Showdown With Savitar, Season 3 Finale

“The Flash” executive producers said that Savitar’s big identity reveal will make the final episodes of Season 3 much more emotional.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Aaron Helbing said that the final face-off between Barry (Grant Gustin) and Savitar is “going to be incredibly emotional and epic at the same time — not epic in a grand scale, but epic in how it impacts everybody.”

Whether or not Barry will be able to prevent Iris’ (Candice Patton) death from happening, executive producer Todd Helbing revealed that Season 3 finale will catch up to that grim night from the future, which the viewers have already seen many times over the previous episodes of the season.

“[In the finale,] you’re going to see how everything unfolds and it’s going to be a little bit different than what you’ve seen,” Todd said, before pointing out that “time is harder to change than even Barry realizes.”

When asked to tease one thing about the finale, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said: “You’re definitely going to cry.”

While it’s still unclear when viewers will finally discover Savitar’s real identity, Gustin and Patton both teased that the impending reveal of Savitar’s identity is unlike any other reveals the show has done before. “It is a very different and jarring kind of reveal,” Gustin told The Hollywood Reporter.

The CW has released official stills from Tonight episode of The Flash.

They feature first-look photos of David Dastmalchian as (Ant-Man, The Dark Knight, Gotham), a time-traveling villain from the 64th century whose advanced technological powers seem like magic.

The Flash (Grant Gustin) battles Abra Kadabra (guest star David Dastmalchian), a villain from Earth-19, who makes him a tempting offer – release him and Abra Kadara will reveal Savitar’s true identity. 

Desperate to save Iris (Candice Patton), Barry considers taking the deal but Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) breaches in to capture the villain for her own reasons and during the melee, Abra Kadabra manages to escape.  Barry is furious that Gypsy interfered but Gypsy refuses to back down, forcing Cisco (Carlos Valdes) to take sides.  Meanwhile, Julian (Tom Felton) is still a bit cold towards Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) but when she is severely injured in a battle with Gypsy, he rushes to her side. 

In his initial debut in 1962's The Flash #133, Kadabra — known as Citizen Abra — was a resident of the 64th century, who was thrown in jail after an altercation with Flash. While Kadabra's main motivation was to become a popular stage magician, his ultimate goal was to be adored by people. The metahuman is known for turning people into his puppets.

'The Flash' Season 3, Episode 18 Spoilers: What will happen in “Abra Kadabra”?

It is probably safe to say that Tuesday night's The Flash was unlike any episode of the series to date. After being teased for several months, the CW finally delivered on a musical crossover between Supergirl and The Flash that showed off the vocal talents of several Glee alumni. The spectacle also included Broadway veterans like Legends of Tomorrow's Victor Garber and Arrow's John Barrowman. 

In "Duet," Mon-El and J'onn J'onzz travel to Earth-1 with an unconscious Supergirl, following the Girl of Steel's encounter with the Music Meister on her eponymous series. Unfortunately, in trying to capture the villain, Barry finds himself in the same comatose state, requiring the two heroes to play out the script of a movie musical in order to wake up. In the end, the Music Meister's plot was all just an elaborate scheme to teach Kara and Barry a lesson — specifically, one of love. 

In the final moments of the musical episode, Kara and Barry find themselves bleeding out from gunshot wounds in their dream, forcing Cisco to vibe Mon-El and Iris into the alternate reality to save their respective loves. And like most movie musicals, we are treated to a happy ending, as both our heroes survive and the episode ends with Barry proposing to Iris once more — and she says yes.

In season three, episode 18 of The Flash, Barry and the rest of the team's attention will once again turn to Savitar. But just because the music has ended doesn't mean there won't be any theatrics. In "Abra Kadabra," a new villain will show up in Central City, one with quite a bit of experience in stage theatrics. And because Abra Kadabra will have information on Savitar's identity — he's from the not-so-near future — Barry will once again be put in a position where he considers letting a villain escape.

The Flash season 3 episode 17 promo: The ‘Duet’ musical with Supergirl’s almost here

The Flash season 3, episode 17 is right around the corner, and based on what we know about “Duet,” this one’s going to be big. It’s the much-anticipated musical that will feature many of the characters from Supergirl, and then also someone in John Barrowman who’s better known for Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. It’s the musical episode that’s been hotly-anticipated, and as a result of that, it only makes sense that the show promote this like nobody’s business. There will be songs, humor, and an appearance from former Glee star Darren Criss as the evil Music Meister.

Also, we know that the story here will begin in the closing minutes of the March 20 episode of Supergirl entitled “Star-Crossed,” so it may be important for you to watch that if you want to get the springboard for what we have here. (With that said, we don’t think it’s necessarily — the last thing we want to do is hype up that episode like many did the Supergirl episode leading to the “Invasion!” crossover from the fall.)

Synopsis – “Barry (Grant Gustin) and team are surprised when Mon-El (guest star Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (guest star David Harewood) arrive on their Earth carrying a comatose Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist) who was whammied by the Music Meister (guest star Darren Criss). Unable to wake her up, they turn to Team Flash to save her. However, the Music Meister surprises The Flash and puts him in a similar coma, one that Team Flash can’t cure. Kara and Barry wake up without their powers in an alternate reality where life is like a musical and the only way to escape is by following the script, complete with singing and dancing, to the end.”

The fact that some of this episode takes place within an alternate reality may be a bummer to some just because it’s not clear how much of the story will be relevant — for example, will the characters wake up with their memories of what happened there intact? There are a lot of questions, but we think this will easy be a ton of fun to watch. We know already that Rachel Bloom of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend wrote one of the songs.

Reasons why The Flash won't call on the Legends for help

The third season of The Flash started when Barry Allen averted tragedy in his past and created a massive temporal anomaly in the form of the "Flashpoint" timeline. After he fixed it, things still weren't quite right.

Just before the show's midseason finale, Barry revealed what had happened to Green Arrow, Supergirl, and the Legends of Tomorrow -- and it didn't go well, with almost everyone losing faith in The Flash for a while.
But that was all about changing the past. And now, in the second half of the season, he's trying to change a possible future that he's seen -- and that, along with a somewhat more cavalier approach to protecting the timeline on the part of the Legends, has led some fans to suggest maybe Barry should enlist the aid of his time-traveling friends in helping to save Iris's life.
One of the showrunners told ComicBook.com that's not in the cards, though.
"We saw in the [Invasion!] crossover how well they responded to Barry creating the Flashpoint Universe," said executive producer Aaron Helbing. "I don't think he's really concerned what the Legends think. I think his main concern is saving the woman he loves."

So it seems like even though fans might think they'd be sympathetic to his cause, Barry isn't comfortable enough in the idea to actually put Iris's fate in their hands.

The Flash Season 3 Episode 15 | The Wrath Of Savitar Preview

After a detour to the planet of the apes (or Gorilla City as we know it) The Flash will be speeding back into its main season 3 storyline next week, with the "Speed God" Savitar apparently making his next (direct) assault against Team Flash - though not in the way we might have expected.
Psychological warfare seems to be the name of the game in the upcoming episode "The Wrath of Savitar" as Wall West/Kid Flash begins to have Alchemy-style visions in his head, inspired by Savitar. It leads Team Flash to question Wally's potential vulnerability to Savitar's mental influence - and whether or not Kid Flash is a potential unwitting spy for the villain.
Worst of all, Savitar seemingly finds a way back Earth, which will put a serious damper on Barry and Iris' engagement bliss, since that prophetic fate of Iris being murdered by Savitar will be one step closer.

The Flash's next episode, "The Wrath of Savitar" will air next Tuesday, March 7 @ 8/7c on The CW.

The Flash Season 3 Episode 14 Review: Attack on Central City

Does Barry want to be the kind of hero that kills?
It's something the speedster considered when Grodd arrived on Earth-1 with an army of gorillas on The Flash Season 3 Episode 14 "Attack on Central City."
But was he pondering the option because he believed it was the right thing to do? Or because he wanted to save Iris?

 

The answer likely lies somewhere in the middle.
It's understandable for Barry to be frustrated. As he said, Grodd manages to come back stronger each time. The only way to make sure that doesn't happen again is for the gorilla to die.
Barry even questioned if he made the right choice letting Solovar live on The Flash Season 3 Episode 13. He started to think mercy might not be the way to go.

Iris: Wait. You want to kill Grodd?
Barry: Why not? That's how their society in Gorilla City works. Kill or be killed. That's why he wanted me to kill Solovar. You know what? I should've. I showed too much mercy.
Iris: No. You did what's right, Barry. As you always do. That's what makes you a hero.

Thank God for Iris West.
She knows Barry better than anyone. She's the exact person he needed to tell him that he's not a killer. It doesn't matter if other heroes can be killers.
Barry's heart and humanity are what drive him. Iris knew that if he risked those, even for her, he wouldn't be the same person any longer.
She made it clear her life was not worth him losing who he is.

We need to take a moment and appreciate Iris' strength.
She's living her life knowing each day brings her closer to her prophesied death. One little tweak could change her fate, but she refuses to let anyone else sacrifice for her.
Not only that, she still comes to work every day, both at the lab, and at her reporting job, and fights to make the city a safer place.
We should all aspire to be that selfless.

Go ahead and raise your hand if you squealed when Barry proposed.
I enjoyed the symmetry of the opening scene where Barry made breakfast and the proposal scene. The last few episodes have a pattern of giving us little moments of Iris and Barry being adorable in their domestic life.
It's a nice balance to all the craziness. The show's always been good at striking that balance.
Too bad they left us with a cliffhanger when it came to Iris' answer.
She's going to say yes, right?

Barry and Iris weren't the only ones with love on the brain.
Thanks to H.R., Team Flash was celebrating Friendship Day before all hell broke loose. Like Barry and Iris' quiet moments, it's always fun to see the team smiling, and having fun in between chaos.
H.R. has grown on me more than I realized over the course of the season. To the point where I wasn't even that upset about seeing Harry going back to Earth-2.
Seriously, though, how much fun was the bantering between the two men?

H.R.: I'm fascinated by the subtle differences between us.
Harry: And the not so subtle ones.
H.R.: Like what?
Harry: Like the fact that I'm a genius and you're a moron.

It's hilarious to watch Harry be grumpier than usual around H.R. It's obvious a part of him is jealous. But he's also egotistical and crabby. Of course he's going to make snide remarks every chance he gets.
As H.R. predicted, Harry didn't take the news of Jesse's choice well. I felt bad for Wally even as I correctly guessed Harry was just messing with him.
But Harry did the right thing in the end. He threatened his daughter's boyfriend's life, and then wished them well.
Oh, fine. I'm going to miss Harry a lot. Can't we keep both of them?

One more potential love story we have to touch on: Cisco and Gypsy.
The bounty hunter returned and immediately refused to help with the Grodd situation. Normally, that would be infuriating. But it's hard to blame her. It wasn't her fight. She'd already been pulled in thanks to Grodd's manipulation.
Cisco letting her leave without putting up too much of a fight was the right call. And so was following her back to Earth-19 to try and reason with her again.

One of the greatest things about Cisco, and there are many, is his ability to understand people.
He appreciated what Gypsy did for him when she helped him awaken more of his power. He wanted to do the same. He recognized she wanted to be a hero, too. She needed an extra push.
Plus, once Team Flash won the battle, Gypsy and Cisco shared their first kiss. Is she his love donut? Time will tell.

Finally, how cool was it to see Grodd and Solovar fighting?
The speedsters didn't stand a chance against the gorillas. But when it came time for the death blow, I found myself cringing.
I know Grodd's done terrible things, but I didn't want to see him die.
Thankfully, neither did Barry.

I love that he showed Grodd mercy. Maybe he doesn't deserve it, but Barry's not a killer. If he would have sentenced Grodd to death at Solovar's hand, it wouldn't be that much different than killing him himself.
Besides, we need to keep as many of the interesting villains alive as possible since the later season ones have been lacking.
Which brings us to the final scene of the episode and the return of Savitar.

Despite the reminders of Iris' future murder that kick off each episode, I forgot Savitar existed. It took me a moment to figure out who he was when he greeted Wally.
I hope the upcoming story proves to be more memorable than the buildup.

The Flash Season 3, Episode 14: “Attack On Central City”

This week on The Flash, Gorilla Grodd and his gorilla army attack Central City.

 

Last time on The Flash‘s “Attack on Gorilla City” episode, the team traveled to Earth-2 to free Harrison Wells from Gorilla Grodd. They soon discovered that a much more devious plan was at play.

Jesse Quick alerted Team Flash of Harrison Well’s abduction by Gorilla Grodd. Soon, the team made a plan to find Wells and bring him home. It wasn’t long before Julian Albert got wind of the mission and wanted to tag along. All they needed to mention was that it involved a city full of gorillas and he was sold.

Shortly after stepping through the Vibe-created portal, the team was rendered unconscious by darts and brought to Gorilla City. There, they learned that the leader of the Gorillas, Solovar, wanted to attack Central City.
When Gorilla Grodd appeared, he made a deal with Barry: fight Solovar and instill Grodd as the new leader, and Grodd will vow not to attack Central City. When Barry does defeat Solovar in battle, he quickly learned that it was all a trick.
Solovar never wanted to attack Central City. Grodd’s plan was to use the fight between the Flash and Solovar as an example of how dangerous humans can be. This way, Grodd can rally all the gorillas and invade Earth-1. Grodd will force Cisco to open the portal for him.
With no way out, the team formed a daring plan to have Caitlin use her cold powers to make Barry seem like he died. Barry vibrated himself back to consciousness the second Grodd removed his lifeless body from the cage.
The team narrowly escaped Grodd and his gorillas, but the telepathic simian had a plan—he was going to use Gypsy to open a portal to Earth-1. This week, Grodd and his army will attack Central City, and another prophecy item from Iris’s future will be checked off. Here’s the official synopsis from The CW:

THE EPIC CONCLUSION TO THE TWO-PART BATTLE WITH GRODD – When Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov) and his army of gorillas bring the battle to Earth-1, The Flash (Grant Gustin) and team must find a way to stop them before they destroy Central City. Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) returns to join the fight. Meanwhile, Jesse Quick (guest star Violett Beane) decides she wants to stay with Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) on Earth-1.

The Flash Is Bringing An Unexpected Fan Favorite Back

Character death never necessarily means that an actor is gone from The Flash. Some characters return to the land of the living when Barry messes with the timeline. Other characters stay dead but are replaced by their identical doppelgangers. Reverse Flash even posed as a dead Harrison Wells for the better part of a Season 1. The show will soon bring back a character who has died a few times in a few different ways. Robbie Amell is slated to return to The Flash as Ronnie Raymond. Robbie Amell has signed on to play Ronnie in an episode that will air at some point this winter. Details are currently scarce, according to EW. Still, it sounds like he'll be back in a guest star capacity rather than as a regular or recurring. However it happens, his reappearance should bring a great deal of emotional upheaval to Caitlin Snow. Although she moved on from her husband's death surprisingly quickly in Season 2 when Jay Garrick/Hunter Zolomon showed up to woo her, Season 3 has shown that she's not entirely over losing Ronnie.

There are a few ways that Ronnie could be back. We already saw the death of Earth-2 Ronnie back in Season 2, but characters from both Earth-3 and Earth-38 have played parts on The Flash in Season 3. The version of Ronnie who turns up in the upcoming winter episode could simply be a Ronnie from an Earth other than 1 or 2. Given that Earth-1 Ronnie was a hero and Earth-2 Ronnie was a villain, it could be interesting to see if the Ronnie of yet another Earth is a good guy or a bad guy.

Another way for Robbie Amell to reprise Ronnie Raymond would simply be as a hallucination or dream of Caitlin's. The good Dr. Snow has had a rough time in Season 3 thanks to Flashpoint giving her dangerous meta powers. If her inner turmoil continues to build, it wouldn't come as a huge surprise if she starts imagining or dreaming of her dead husband, and Robbie Amell could easily drop in and out if he's simply an imaginary version of Ronnie.

A third way for Ronnie to return to The Flash would be via a reveal that he never actually died in the Flashpoint timeline. Caitlin seems convinced that he passed away, and we've seen no indication that he's still alive, but The Flash might pull a "Gotcha!" and bring him back. He already came back from a presumed death back in Season 1; maybe he could do the same against all odds in Season 3. The Flash breaks its own rules all the time, and it's possible that bringing Ronnie Raymond back to life will be one more instance.

Personally, I'm hoping for a version of Ronnie from another Earth for one simple reason: he dies a lot, and I don't think the show will be able to escape the fact that Ronnie Raymond dying has become kind of a running joke. He was believed dead after the particle accelerator disaster in Season 1, then actually died in the Season 2 premiere, then died again shortly after his introduction on Earth-2. Caitlin barely even mourned him after his first death. It could be intriguing to see how Team Flash would react to yet another death of Ronnie Raymond.

The Flash: Get Your First Look At The New Villain

Barry Allen may already have his hands full with Savitar, but the speed god isn't the only threat that he will have to contend with when The Flash finally returns for the latter half of its third season. Central City is obviously no stranger to the criminal element, and some new villains of the week will make their way into The Flash's life very, very soon. In fact, a new photo of the upcoming villain Plunder has surfaced online, and he's definitely going to bring some serious firepower with him when he finally shows up. Check out the photo below to see for yourself.

As you can pretty clearly see from that photo, Plunder is armed, he's dangerous, and he is going to wreak havoc in Central City when he debuts on The Flash. Really named Jared Morillo, the DC villain is known for his expert marksman skills as well as his affinity for theft --- hence the name Plunder. Once he has made his proper introduction to Team Flash, we have a distinct feeling that Cisco Ramon is going to come up with that nickname. Early glimpses at The Flash's midseason premiere have suggested that Plunder will loot Central City for all its worth, which means Barry will inevitably have to take a break from his quest to beat Savitar in order to put an end to this career criminal's reign of terror.

One of the most instantly notable notable elements about Plunder is the fact that he's not actually a metahuman threat. The Flash has faced off against a few regular bad guys since the beginning of his career as a superhero (particularly against Captain Cold and The Trickster), and those episodes almost always represent season highlights because they force Barry to use his brains just as much as his speed. In that respect, our hope remains incredibly high that The Flash will continue to present The Scarlet Speedster with threats who can consistently challenge him without the assistance of superpowers. After all, that helps keeps things interesting as the series progresses into the future.

It's also nice to see The Flash maintaining its strong tradition of using weekly villains to supplement the overarching narrative of the season. Barry Allen's solo series has become the go-to place for delightful campiness over the course of the last three years, and the show's willingness to embrace traditions established by shows like Batman '66 has made it wholly endearing for fans of the superhero genre. When other shows go dark, The Flash stays relatively light and fun.

The flashpoint was totally a major arc where in "The Flash" season 3 introduced some changes to its several characters and so to the life of the flash himself. Barry had learned the hard way that in going back in time just to change one thing can have a large impact and may affect the present timeline. But he is all ready to take another chance and mess again with the timeline as he is about to time-travel again after he had witnessed the upcoming death of his girlfriend in Savitar's hands.
According to the report of International Business Times, Barry will be teaming up with Wally. Barry stated that Iris needs a hero in her side as he was about to go to the future with the help of Cisco Ramon. Fans need to expect that the upcoming situation of Barry would not come easily and it'll be more difficult for him.
Moreover, as per the report of Digital Spy, Flash will encounter Zoom once again. The fans speculated that Zoom will be coming back as The Black Flash. The upcoming episode  will be titled "Borrowing Problems from the Future."
